“One of the problems encountered during the enrolment and end of the semester period in MSU Marawi Campus is the long queue in the Student AKAN kiosk. The kiosk allows the student to view their profile information, grades, enrolled subjects and other features that are actually not functional. Student needs to know their status regarding their grades and how many units they are allowed to take. Completed INC grade is also the major purpose for the students to use the kiosk. Therefore, there is a need for an approach that gives solutions to the said problems. Additional physical hardware is not an option, because it is expensive to procure. This study then demonstrated a design specification and implementation of a mobile application system that convert MSU Student AKAN kiosks into a mobile app through mobile phone device. Moreover, this study utilized mobile phone device of the student to maximize its functionalities. The mobile application allows student to access and make inquiries on their enrolment, grade and other records that the existing AKAN kiosk accomplished.”

Chapter 5, Summary of our paper “MAK (Mobile AKAN): A Mobile Application on MSU Student AKAN Using Android Platform”. Me and my capstone project partner Sheena Mae Erecre were able to create an Android App for our school to cater the problem in accessing student accounts.
